The two Jars

The two Jars - Illustration from Baby's Own Aesop drawn by Walter Crane.

There were two jars that were swept away by a flood. One was made of brass and the other of clay. The brass jar to his friend the clay jar, stick with me and you will be safe. But the clay jar remarked, I will be smashed if I stay next to you. The moral is that a friend can be an enemy.
